Canters and Slabbers
This canter is used to chip two faces in small log lines for logs up to 500 mm diameter or for cants. It can be associated with secondary machines either using bandsaws or circular saws.
Each head has six adjustable knives easy to change and to set. The depth of cut of each head is 170 mm. The central circular saw has diameter of 510 mm to give an excellent finish. The two heads are assembled on a double round slides and are independently controlled by hydraulic servo valves.
Exists in version PROSLAB 600 for logs sawing up to Ø500 mm when it is integrated in a high speed sawing line, and for logs until Ø750 mm when it is integrated in a TELE TWIN configuration.
The range of the MEM slabbers includes mainly two families :
1. The head has three or six adjustable straight knives, allowing to transform directly the cant into chips. The maximum depth of cut is 170 mm and the maximum height of cut is 600 mm. The Saw blade Ø640 mm produces an excellent finish. The heavy steel body is on double round slides Ø 120mm and the displacement is hydraulic or electrical according to option.
2. The head has 8 bent knives, the maximum depth of cut is 170 mm and the maximum height of cut is 700 mm. The heavy steel body slides is on double round slides Ø140mm and the displacement is hydraulic or electrical according to option
